Synthesis and Morphological Characterization of Electroless-Deposited Ni-P Coatings on Diamond Abrasives

چکیده

Deposition of a coating on rough surfaces faces unique challenges due to the complexity substrate morphology. In present research, electroless deposition Ni-P was successfully deposited diamond particles. Microtomography conducted study mechanisms. It revealed that coverage rate particles affected by synergistic action time, morphology, and hypophosphite concentration. The best achieved in solution with 0.2 mol/L hypophosphite. Two major morphological features coating: nodular smooth, were influenced parameters, integrity, failure seen fractured peeled off coatings. residual stress produced coalescing crystallites during deposition. This mechanism explains tendency fracture at three substrate. work is beneficial semiconductor manufacturing where effective cutting chip fabrication essential.
